Time to check out!

We hope you had a great stay with us and that you would like to come back another time! :)

Before you go home, it is time to make the house nice for the next tenant to come. The house should be restored as it looked when you arrived, things should be in the right place, the things/foods you brought should be taken home, all surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned, etc.

The house and the cleaning are always checked after each tenant. Below is a simple checklist for the check-out.

Check-out list

In general

Check that all things and furniture (both inside and outside) are in the same place as when you arrived.
Take all your belongings with you. Don't forget to empty the cupboards in the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen etc. of your own belongings.

Kitchen

Empty the dishwasher and put all clean dishes in the cupboards before you leave.
All surfaces in the kitchen should be clean and empty just as when you arrived.
Empty the fridge, freezer and pantry of all your food (even if you want to be nice and leave food, it can take weeks before the next company comes to the house and then there is a risk of pests).
Take out garbage & recycling

Cleaning

The cleaning cupboard is in the kitchen closest to the hall and there you will find all the necessary equipment.
Vacuum and wet mop all floors
Clean the toilet & sink in the bathrooms
If the grill has been used, empty the ashes and clean the grates.

Close & lock up

Close all windows
Close and lock all glass doors in the outdoor room
Turn off the air source heat pump if you have used it.
Set the radiators back to frost protection mode (12 degrees) if you have adjusted them.
Turn off the water tap in the basement.
Lock the patio doors, front door and basement door.
Put the key back in the agreed place.
