The water pump is located in the basement (entrance from the gable facing the highway) and is turned off upon arrival.
To turn on the water in the house; turn the blue faucet so that it is along the direction of the pipe (in the picture the water is turned on)
The house is heated by an air source heat pump in the living room and electric radiators in the other rooms.
In summer, the heating does not need to be turned on. The air source heat pump can be switched off and the radiators can be set to frost protection mode (12 degrees).
If you need to adjust the heating, there is a remote control for the air source heat pump and the elements can be adjusted individually.
As the house is located right next to the lake Vättern, the sewage tank is completely closed and this means that the tank fills up quickly if there are many people using the toilets.
Both toilets and the sink faucet on the small toilet go directly to the closed tank.
Other water taps (kitchen, large bathroom, shower) go into an infiltration system so they do not fill the closed tank.
We always check the tank level before new tenants arrive and order emptying when needed. We humbly ask you to be sparing with the flushing of the toilets and the use of the faucet on the small toilet to avoid filling the tank during your stay.
NOTE! In the unlikely event that the tank becomes full during your stay, there is a risk that the wastewater will start to flow backwards into the toilets. If this happens, it is important that you contact us directly so we can book an emergency emptying.
The bin is on the other side of the road and is labeled "Hartung". See red dot on the map.
Emptying of the bin takes place on Fridays in even numbered weeks.
Compost waste should be sorted in special green plastic bags located under the sink.
Other household waste is disposed of in ordinary waste bags. Both bags are then disposed of in the same bin.
As the bin is not very large and with regard to our environment, we would like as much waste (such as cardboard boxes, packaging, glass bottles, etc.) as possible to be sorted and left for recycling at a recycling station. There are several recycling stations in Askersund.
Upstairs there is a TV with the usual free channels via antenna. An Apple TV is also available for streaming via mobile phone.
4G reception is good in the area and mobiles can be used for surfing.
A 4G modem is available in the house and if the tenant wishes, we can buy unlimited surfing that will be available via Wifi for about SEK 500/50 EUR. Contact us in such cases.
There is an electrical panel in the living room upstairs. If a fuse blows, start by checking here.
If no fuse has blown in the electrical panel, there is another fuse box in the basement.
Please contact us if you experience problems with the electricity.
The outdoor room is a pleasant place in all weathers thanks to the openable glass sections.
NOTE! Be careful of the high drop towards the lake if the glass sections are open. All glass sections can be locked if you for example have small children.
The outermost jetty is the most suitable for swimming (blue circle). On the sides of the jetty there are some rocks in the water, but straight out is fine to jump or dive in.
If you want to walk in the water or have smaller children who want to play, there is a sandy bottom if you go in via the stone (yellow circle).
A charcoal grill is available on the terrace.
You as tenant must bring coal and lighter fluid yourself.
Place the grill at a safe distance from the wall of the house and be careful not to leave burn marks on the terrace.
Please clean the grill and empty the ashes after using.
Access to boat and boathouse is not included in the rent.
